Forums - Gaming - Sony's Motion Controller Easier For Developers

This is complete shit. Unless this person has access to the APIs for both of these new devices, there can be no comparison. The technology involved in the controllers has jack shit to do with ease of development. It is the APIs that the companies provide.

who is this person that makes the claim?

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

It should be easyer. Developers have had over 3 years of the wii mote to come up with ideas.

Nice to know.

And they had 20+ years with non-motion controllers and there are still games with broken controls.... They have a long way to go

slowly we can read more and more news/threads all over the net that the overhyped project natal isn't as good as believed.

makes sense. it would be nice if they could implement it into older games.

Or you can read articles that have no basis on reality, such as this one.

Total BS and derailment. Wiiremote only feeds gestures? but Sony Wand feeds numerical data? WTF? Total work with word smoke. Wiiremote feeds data like analog stick through it's signals.

Velocity.Y=(-70 to +70)
Velocity.X=(-70 to +70)
Velocity.Z=(-70 to +70)
Tilt.X=(-70 to +70)
Tilt.Y=(-70 to +70)
Tilt.Z=(-70 to +70)
Binary1=(0 or 1) // represented as many things. Digital pad, buttons
Binary2=(0 or 1)
Binary3=(0 or 1)
....
All you need to to is just read the numerical data and do something with it. Essentially Wiiremote data = classic control data. All it has is more analog value input. This is just Sony spin to derail Natal and see if they can penetrate Wii market. I'm just surprised people keep on buying Sony spin.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Hmmm. . . so the website "PS3 Informer" thinks the PS3's hardware is going to be better? Strange. I would've sworn such a clearly unbiased source would have gone with Wii.
