What a bunch of idiots.

Nigeria was offended by that ad? How is it offensive? Do you get offers to be a Welsh millionaire? No, you get Nigerian offers. So many scams come from that place to be offended is stupid. I didn't think any less of Nigeria after that ad, I related to it because I got the offers. And the Internet didn't start WWI.

To the Nigerian who was offended, please screw yourself with this iron stick.

Love it!! LOL

I never really thought much about Nigeria before this whole situation, but now i think less of them after their complaint about this ad being 'offensive'... for F sake, grow some balls!! lol

So, because you don't think it's offensive, no one can? And if someone does, they're an idiot who should kill themselves? Is there a website somewhere that people can go to to get your permission to be offended?

Don't get me wrong, the original joke really isn't terribly offensive, and I got a chuckle out of it myself. But who the hell do you think YOU are to tell someone that they can't be offended?

Well... the only ones who can find this offensive are the people that Sony is referring to... So Crashdown are you a Nigerian trying to get money from VGC members?

Fuck Nigeria. They don't even have electricity, how did they find out?

Sorry that's a bit out of line, but seriously lighten up. Canadians don't complain when Family Guy or other shows like that crack jokes about us.

BULL SHIT! I saw that episode where all the Canadians went on a hunger strike because they weren't getting the respect they felt they should get!

So nobody can say anything or make any jokes that may offend someone somewhere?

Yes thats correct. You cannot pass a racially offensive joke that makes fun of someone's ethnicity.

The point is people are tooeasily offended or use the buzz phrase "disrespected" - thats how people get stabbed in streets over nothing... that kind of mentality has got us where we are today.

No of course not. I like offensive jokes myself, I just watched some Lisa Lampanelli and laughed my ass off (that is a crazy white woman right there). I'm saying that telling someone else that they can't be offended about something is equally as ugly as being offended over every little thing.

I thought it was funny as hell, don't think they should have made a big deal about it.

I think Chris Rock, Jamie Fox, or Carlos Mencia never got that memo... Why don't you shoot Them a line.

Fuck, I think I'm going to send Jeff Foxworthy an e-mail demanding a cease and desist order.

Oh, and to directly answer the question about who the specific person in the ad was "Or else I'D be a Nigerian millionare."

In your example you gave two actual persons: Barack Obama and Ron Paul.

Who is I??

Also your contention that the Sony ad line is accurate and non-stereotypical just because it didn't spell in more detail what it meant (its meaning was clear: FUD is delivered on the internet by nigerian millionaire) is strictly your opinion

Also the final point: Sony used the name of a country in its ad line. If the Nigerians were offended by it, then they have every right to protest, its their name after all.

Lol but that ad was funny, I couldn't believe it when I heard it because I didn't expect it at all.
I give props to the writer.

why does SONY constantly get itself in hot water over racist ads.... they need to fire their ad team....

nigeria isnt a race.... its a nation

well i cant find a term that defiles nigerians specifically, unless ofcourse you can find one.. ill stick with "racism" for now..

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

^It isn't racist because it isn't talking specifically about a nation or group of people.
It is simply making fun of those infamous spam emails that urge you to wire money and blah blah in Nigeria.
