Hmm...either Killzone 3 or Resistance 3. I don't think it would be wise for Sony to try a new IP now, especially with MAG around the corner.

@STAGE: Infinity Ward killed Halo. That's a fact, no matter how hard you try to spin it. Now as for whether Halo will have 15 million to 20 million sales if it was on PS3, I think your subjective mind is getting the better of you. Did you ever stop and consider that maybe sales will be split more across both platforms if it was on PS3? There is NO WAY it would sell like it did on Xbox 360 if it was multiplatform.

 

Edit: Back on topic, another thing to note is both Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 ended on cliffhangers.

Why bring Halo into this conversation?

Thats the whole point. Before PS3 exclusive shooters came out Halo was considered one of the best looking console shooters. Sony has their heads in the wrong direction. Games like KZ2 and Resistence were created to kill off Halo. The only company who can kill Halo is Infinity Ward.

It was Killzone fans that brought the slogan "halo killer" not Sony, it been said millions times, get over it!!!

Not true. If Halo 3 was on all systems like COD4 it would've sold over 20 million copies. The Xbox 360 version of COD4 is not higher than that of halo 3. It is edging closer and closer to 10 million copies solid.

Ifs and buts.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare = ~12.3 million sales (PS360)

Halo 3 = ~10.1 million sales

Those are the facts for you. Modern Warfare has outsold Halo 3, and every other Halo game.

Your arguments never cease to amaze me. So you mean that you are going to undercut Halo's accomplishment of achieving 10.1 million copies on one console?  I could care less about what you think as far as the ifs and buts are concerned, but Halo 3 being as sought after as it was/is could've sold 15-20 million copies on all consoles if it went multiplatform. The Xbox 360 version of COD4 was outsold by Halo 3, period.

What game sold more?

Stop comparing the sales of a multiplat to that of an exclusive. As a multiplat of course COD4 had a chance to outsell Halo being popular and all. It needed three platforms to do it.

Exactly. COD4 has nothing to do with anything. They didn't publish the game.

Of course COD4 as a mulitplat outsold Halo. Hence why I said 15-20 million copies would probably be the sales for a Halo multiplat. 15 million copies sounds very  likely as of late. I think the PS3 could handle that in the west. What would you estimate the sales could've  been if Halo 3 was on the PS3 as well as the 360? I hate  to tell you this, but  just like COD4 it would outsell the likes of KZ and Resistence.

Dude, the sales would be split across both platforms if it was multiplat, so it definitely wouldn't sell the same on Xbox 360 like it did now if it were multiplat. I'd say it would be 12 million copies sold in total, like COD4. Also, I never brought Resistance or Killzone into this conversation, so I don't see why you'd "hate" to tell me this.

hmm...this sounds not so stupid to me...Sony still ahve plans to conquer America with their PS3...and maybe now is a good beginning with the Slim launch...and with more consoles sold in america they maybe will try it one more time with MAG, Killzone 3 and Resistance 3...+a God Of War 3...for me this sounds like a good next year for Sony if they will do this what i really believe!
