Direct2Drive is getting a 5 year anniversary deal

They'll be selling 10 games for $5 every week, starting this week with several Ubisoft games and a few others:

I got a lot of those (Sid Meier's games, X-Com, etc.) from the steam bundle when it was on sle, but that's a great deal on everything else.

ah, the 2k bundle wasn't available here. I don't even know if I am able to buy from D2D (I think I can), but I hope Bioshock is one of them.

It was. Still is, but it's no longer 50% off as it was when I got it. Even Colonization was on there and I think Freedom Force too.

I'm not really sure, but I believe it has to do with how Take-Two deals with their worldwide distributors and Steam handles it. Like, we do have (or had) an official Take-Two distributor here, which is in huge disadvantage regarding DD platforms. As I said, I'm not sure at all because there's EA Brazil and I still can buy their games on Steam. Also, I bought Race 07 on Steam even though this same company sells it here.

but I cannot even see Civilization, GTA, Bioshock. only the trailers and demos. the same happens with Atari games (which are brought over here by the same shitty distributor)

at the same time, I can buy them all at GamersGate (which I believe puts us in "Rest of the world" or Europe)

Have you all tried using a proxy or something from the US? I remember I had to use a proxy to get the pack while I was in Spain since my credit card and my current location didn't match up too well or something.
