Lol - Not surprised to see this discussion, but people need a reality check.

The Vikings not winning Superbowls doesn't mean they're trash, they would be trash if they never got anywhere close however. The simple fact is the Vikings are now and have always been a team that just can't finish the deal...that is a simple fact. But at the same time they are now and consistently have been among the best teams in the league year in and year out.

As for this game...well you turn the ball over 5 times with a -4 margin and you're going to lose the game. In fact any coach in the league, had you told them saturday we would turn the ball over 4 more times than the Saints, would have told you we were going to get blown out of the game. The fact that it was an overtime game says a ton about how good of a team the Vikings were this year. Nevertheless a championship team has to find ways to win close games and they didn't do it - Period. But that doesn't make them "trash" no matter how much childish banter people want to throw around in this thread - Period.

Expect the second to last update for the Leaderboard to come NEXT Wednesday (4 days prior to the Superbowl). The update is actually done already in my spreadsheet but I decided it would be best to keep everything in limbo until then to encourage folks to come back to see how they did once the predictions are open and we are closer to the game.

You do realize you never responded to my last post where I completely debunked this nonsense.

Your entire argument hinges on this concept that the Dallas Cowboys ARE TEH AWESOME...but as soon as one guy goes out of the game they suddenly go from being assured a blowout against the Vikings to losing by 31 points and failing to score a TD....riiight.

And you're telling us that we don't know what we're talking about?  How about leaving a TE in the backfield to help block?  How about rolling him away from Allen? How about any number of literally dozens of things they actually did try in the game but still had pressure on Romo?  The bottom line is that injuries are as much a part of football as the forward pass is, and crying about one of them makes just as little sense as crying about the other.

You don't see me making a fool of myself complaining "Oh the Vikings would have owned the Saints if we hadn't turned the ball over 5 times." - and that statement actually has a lot more truth to it than what you're trying to claim.  Why?  Because those turnovers are part of the game...its the reality of the league, of the game, and of the season...you deal with it and you move on.  Now try to be a fan with some pride, admit your team got beat down, and quit being a sore loser.

Mods are ridiculous and bias but anyways. in defense yes the defense should have stepped up but if an offense isnt clickin then the defense won't either Any football fan knows that. And the the LT is the 2nd most important position on the offensive side. Witten couldn't contain him but Adams could have contained him like the first couple drives. Anybody knows this

So you're saying he would've scored some touchdowns for the Cowboys, made the two missed field goals, stopped K. Williams and Edwards from sacking Romo, AND shut down Jared?

He would have stopped Jared which would stop Romo from being out of the pocket constantly and Edwards wouldnt get to him. Scoring touchdowns no but he would have kept Romo in the pocket more and kept him calm from Allen

I don't believe he would've stopped Jared every time and even if he did, Edwards still would've gotten to Romo. Edwards got to Romo in the first quarter for a fumble and again for a sack in the beginning of the 2nd quarter before Dallas's LT got injured late in the 2nd (or beginning of third?). I agree that he would've protected Romo a lot better than the inexperienced LT, but not enough to ensure a Cowboys win. Jared isn't our only defensive threat, but his presence on the field causes offensive lines to focus more on him creating holes for our other players to get to the QB.

And secondly, losing by 1, or losing by 31 is the same. You lose, you lose. No one will care the next week. All they'll remember is that your team lost.
