I don't believe he would've stopped Jared every time and even if he did, Edwards still would've gotten to Romo. Edwards got to Romo in the first quarter for a fumble and again for a sack in the beginning of the 2nd quarter before Dallas's LT got injured late in the 2nd (or beginning of third?). I agree that he would've protected Romo a lot better than the inexperienced LT, but not enough to ensure a Cowboys win. Jared isn't our only defensive threat, but his presence on the field causes offensive lines to focus more on him creating holes for our other players to get to the QB.
