Amazon is not a good judge. i do agree with u tho, that most who want Halo already have a 360. HW rises will be minimal.

it's not that this game isn't a console pusher it's just that:
#1 most people buying Halo: ODST already have a Xbox 360
#2 more people were waiting for a PS3 price cut rather than the Xbox 360 elite price cut, since you can buy an arcade for like $170 then buy a 20 gb HDD for like $20-$30 on amazon/ebay

why would people buy consoles through amazon? they'd have to pay shipping and handling on most occasions. Amazon is in no way an indicator of how something will sell.

I simply posted a link to an article.  I also used the information about the system and software going in opposite directions on the sales charts to back up what I said in a thread yesterday about ODST not being a system seller.  It WILL sell huge.  However, does anybody around here actually believe there are still Halo fans out there that haven't already bought a 360?

do you honestly believe that there will never be any more new halo fans?  That halo has made all the fans it will ever have?  Seems like a pretty silly blanket statement there.  When new games come out, there will always be people buying it that have never played a game in the series before.  

take metal gear solid 4.  It sold more copies then metal gear solid 3.  Does that mean that, maybe there were people that bought metal gear solid 4 that didn't buy metal gear solid 3?  Shocking

I'm sure it will sell a few systems, but nothing much.  Two Halo games (I think) have already been released for the 360 so most of the people that would buy a 360 for Halo already have....however, the same can be said for the ps3 and Uncharted 2.  It won't be a system seller because nobody that wouldn't buy a ps3 for Uncharted 1 will for Uncharted 2.

I do expect GT:5 & FFXIII to be system sellers though...
