Wow! Uncharted freezes, I'm glad I haven't played it yet cuz I'd be mighty pissed. Helpful post :).

Dual audio ouput (even if TV is down sampled to 2 channel) is all the win I needed. I have a stand alone blu-ray player but I still like to game in 5.1 sometimes...but when I need to be quiet, TV volume FTW! Plus, I don't spend that much time on the XMB anyway.

Only if you intend to never connect to the Playstation Network for the rest of your PS3's life. I don't see the big deal in hating the update (though yes, poor chimes)

They completely ignored the fifty million PlayStation Store icons, the ugly (hopefully WIP) friends list, and the ticker.

I am so glad I beat Uncharted before all the freezing started.  That would have drove me insane.  Uncharted is awesome by the way....just fyi...
