Thought I'd mention a variant role I've played with, the Vampire. [edit:

It's kind of like the Poisoner, only instead of the victim dying after X days (I forget if it was 2 or 3), the victim dies if more than three votes take place the next day.

So, if the town doesn't screw around too much, it can avoid killing the vampire's victim ... on the other hand, one of the 2 times the town went into overtime, a werewolf got killed! (And we lynched another!!)

The Vampire's an interesting role, but I just realized it's most likely incompatible with the way voting seems to work in this forum version.

Sorry about that, but I needed you to role claim.  Even if you were the doctor, you were an acceptible casualty to my survival.

As far as FOC... insomniac17 investigated Gnizmo and himself so it was hardly "Follow the Cop." 

Also, there were only 3 special roles (Reporter, Poisoner, and Body Snatcher) so it wasn't that cluttered.  Besides, last time there were 3 too (Arsonist, Fire Fighter, and Lie Detector).

Well I believe MY survival was more important than YOUR survival, being that the cop lives exactly ONE day longer than the life of the doctor.

I really don't understand why they followed you so much anyways.

I like to think I contributed to that early on by trusting him implicitly after I figured out he was the reporter.

Beyond that, he's probably seen as the most senior Mafia player by the newbs.

WoW also led a mislynch on day one AND voted "no lynch" for the first two days, even though he himself said "i'd be suspicioius of anyone who didn't vote after two days"

That's why I didn't trust him. That and I didnt' trust you, because you were being a bitch when you were piling on by voting on me.

I was tempted to just say "screw it" and just get lynched just to screw all you guys over when you said that. It would have been a 4 death swing and suddently it would have gone from 2 vs 8 to 2 vs. 4

Back up mod
Lock-in mechanism where once someone has gotten enough votes there's no going back
Give set day frames depending on the amount of players

I'm not asking the mod to be around forever but we need rules that make the days end with or without the game mod around.

So how are we fixing this?

I also see that Soriku was not aware that he would be modkilled if he revealed his role.
We got to work on these issues guys. Although the townsfolk are happy (and should be) they are not aware of the injustice that happened to the mafia and Soriku.

I also suggest that when a player is assigned a role it must be mentioned If he/she loses the ability or is modkilled if revealed.
