Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's Online Future?

Nintendo's online future is probably the only foray that Nintendo hasn't delved into in the Wii & Ds. I was sitting today bored out of my mind in class and wondering how difficult it would be for nintendo to create  a unified system for there virtual consoles. I.E. every virtual console game bought on a wii would also be accessible through the Nintendo Dsi (this would be solely to drum up additional value for Dsi as well as wii). With an integrated platform like this Nintendo could go ahead and reinvent there entire online structure around creating value for there consumers. Was just a fleeting thought. But i do think that if Nintendo gave out virtual ownership across multiple platforms for virtual console games it could really re-ignite the virtual console  market as well as open up virtual console to a host of new Dsi Users (roughly 5m or so at the moment i beleive.)

wont work...

Ds remakes = 40$
Originals = 5$

A lot of cash...

If you think you're gaming too much, Game even more !

I don't know if Nintendo will ever have a robust online strategy.

Next gen nintendo will probably have a PSN like online system.

probably, but i couldnt really care less if they did or not. the online support they have for wii right now is good enough for me.

Oh, they'll fix it, but it won't be till next Generation, and it won't be anything to especially write home about, though it will be competent (as in, a unified account, sans friend codes)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

They have time to work on it, its not a primary preocupation.

It's clear that the console with the best online experience, isn't the most sold console.

Miyamoto is against online gaming i think, and i dont like online gaming that much, the virtual console rules though *_*

Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!

that would be cool

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

If online play wasn't in the red ocean, Nintendo would go for it. Or if there was a part they could use as blue ocean, but don't expect it to be something we could easily predict.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
