Forums - Microsoft - 2009- the worst year for 360 exclusives?

gergroy said:
I can't read that, too much text and rambling. 360 exclusives this year have been just as good as ps3 exclusives.
halo wars and killzone 2 are battled it out early this year, and both are about equal in enjoyment IMO.
PS3 is slightly ahead with infamous, but everything will equalize this holiday with the consoles respective lineups.

So basically, if you think 09 is the worst year for the 360, then I would have to say it is also a bad year for the ps3. Personally, I think it is a great year for both, but thats just me I guess :)

Saying Halo Wars is equal to Killzone 2 is like saying ghanarreah is equal to chocolate brownies

EDIT: IMO

No we have great exclusives this year. But so what past years ps3 didn't have much exclusives.

What does that have anything to do with this thread? In addition, it's pretty sad if your response was, "so what if I have nothing this year if my enemy had nothing last year." That's an awful response.

I know how you feel, they need to stop depending just in Halo and Gears (i like both games, just saying they need more diversity) I think microsoft needs to continue supporting rare with a Perfect Dark and Kameo sequels, both were fun at the time, I don't understand why MS is not taking advantage of Rare lately, only pushing the company to produce kiddy games like viva piñata (which is a pretty good one though) and that Banjo game that sucked.

It's not that bad when you think about it.

Deathsmiles (which sadly probably won't reach US shores. Great shoot em up)
GTA IV DLC (Lost and the Damned, Gay Tony, etc.)
Shadow Complex (Very, Very Good)
Halo Wars (Best console RTS as of yet. Too bad Assemble Studio got laid off by MS)
Star Ocean: The Last Hope (Timed exclusive anyways)
Stoked (Fun snowboarding game.)
Ninja Blade (Eh...)

Still remaining:
Raiden IV
Halo 3 ODST
Magna Carta
Forza 3
Samuari Shodown Edge of Destiny
Left 4 Dead 2 (Console anyways)

I guess if you own a PS3 It's not a huge list but still good enough for me. Next year is probably going to be a lot better.

It's just that simple.

Please edit your post. That's not needed. It all comes down to tastes. If I was an RTS fan or even a huge Halo fan I could see myself enjoying halo wars more. Neither you, nor my opinion makes inferior the opinion of another. While I may agree that Killzone 2 was more enjoyable for me, it doesn't make our opinion fact or more important than any one else's.

How it's basically what all the fanboys will be saying. And it is true.

To tell you the truth both the 360 and PS3 will do very well in 2010, but the 360 will own that year. But to stay on point, you're telling me you have no intention of buying Left 4 Dead 2 even though it looks far superior to the last version? COD5 (Which will obviously be better on the 360), Halo Wars, Halo 3: ODST, Forza 3, Magna Carta 3, Shadow Complex, Ninety-Nine Nights II or Star Ocean 4? I'll admit that the PS3 had the strongest games of 2009 though, but 2010 will be the 360's for sure.

I don't know, I LOVE gears, I can use some more of that every year. Microsoft actually did a good job of having a diverse selection of exclusives this year so that's not the exact problem for me.  shooters, rts, action, jrpg, racing are all covered this year. Unfortunatley, all the titles I would normally care for are only sequals to games that didn't warrant a sequal out of me. And the sequals that I actually cared about and were day 1 buys all got pushed back to next year! What luck! :(

I agree very much on the RARE part. I would love to see RARE do more then viva pinata, natal and games that target casuals. They are a great developer with an history of making increadible games....and then that banjo game that sucked. lol
