Seriously Xbox fanboys, give it up. PS3 will come in second this gen. The ONLY thing holding it back up to this point was the price. Wow, I didn't know you knew what happens years from now? I could've sworn last year after FF XIII 360 and the 360 price cut the PS3 was doomed. But a year later look what happened. See how easily things change? But this is still a single week. That's just a blip. I'm not saying the PS3 can't hit 2nd, it definitely can (I'd prefer it did since I like the PS3 more than the 360) but take off those fanboy goggles.

Well, I think it's pretty common knowledge that price was the main barrier for consumers. Now that its $299 and offers more than the competition as a whole package, I don't see why people would choose a 360 over a PS3 unless they like the aforementioned exclusives.

Wow how ignorant can you get, thats the attitude that got Sony in the (pre) mess they were in, in the first place ...

LOL, and prior to that? Oh, wait... it was M$'s price cuts off their 3 SKU's that stopped SONY's dominance in sales prior to that. So, does this mean the PS3 will be back to being dominant again and out sell the 360 for the same period? Longer maybe? It's gonna be fun to see either way.

OT: Im going to say it does. Im only basing it on the fact EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE, people who know their shit for sales, like The Source and ioi here didnt even anticipate the pent up demand for the first week.

I said all along people were underestimating the name recognition and effect this would have and ill say based on the unprecedented sales its over WW for MSFT in hardware sale competition.

I think if Sony releases the dildo and really and i mean REAAAALLY show the PSEYE in conjunction with it by the time Natal releases it will look like old hat minimizing the "WOW" factor of Natal and trumping MSFT's big plans with motion sensing.

"In what is probably the most successful console re-launch in history, over half a million PS3 "slims" were sold last week worldwide according to our preliminary data - this represents over a 400% increase week on week (and a number of retailers in the US had already started selling the new model PS3 last week)."

sorry 360 lovers, dont bank on natal, wow, i can use my hand to look through dressed, and drive a car like a 4 again , in the air, nothing for shooters and adventure games or rpg, or rts, natal is nothing other then 360 last hope, that will sure disapoint. ps3 will dominate from here on, my how much we dont fully know, but most gamers have a brain, when you look at what the ps3 gives you for 299, vs 360, and the games comming for the ps3 its a no brainer. games plus value, that is what its about.
