hmm who know what will happen in the future but looking at the slims first week. i sure everyone who ha doubts about the ps3 will agree it can easily close the gap by a few million for the rest of this year, unless microsoft come up with something HUGE but what can be as big as a playstation 3 going back to its old playstation roots and at a sweet price point with final fantasy and GT releasing in chrismas!!? yea im thinking nothing can be as big as that. lol

I d say yes, but not necessarily as a gaming console (although imo best games of all 3)...

remember what happened when ps2 was one of the cheapest and most reliable dvd players back in the past? it was the official end of the vhs. and we might see this again with ps3 and the bluray.

ps3 has a long tail and it still develops!

At some point you will learn that the way you feel about something is not the way everyone feels about something.  There will be plenty of people at the end of this gen that think the Wii has the strongest library, just as there are plenty of people right now (at this point in the generation) that think the Wii has the strongest library.
