What you guys turn your PC off ??? Sorry but thats pathetic...

^^ My PC is like my lifesupport, I´m not turning it of for no tree-hugers... even when I turn it off to fix things I always turn my Laptop on just incase... :)

Besides your problem could have a million reasons... whats easier than finding it (unless its a no brainer) is to format or just re-install windows...

Why else? Overheating, electricity, etc.

Not to mention rebooting (you're a fool if you never reboot your system), giving the system a rest (you will wear out your hardware if you don't let it rest), etc.

Windows has a poor shutdown system built into it. There are a lot of things you could do to fix it (try cleaning unwanted trash from your system (uninstalling programs, using Ad-Aware, etc), try cleaning your system registry, etc. The most effective fix is to format the system, install Windows fresh, and stop installing every single crappy program you think you want. It's likely from a polluted registry from installing poorly-designed programs.

Actually, the best fix would be to use Linux instead of Windows, but that's difficult for most people and Linux doesn't have complete enough compatibility to make it worthwhile for a lot of people.

Turning off PC is it still people doing that???

j/k

Well the computer either suck's or you have got some virus/spyware after downloading to much porn not good. I don't think I can help you, but you can try to take away the electricity and then start the computer and restart it and check if it works (wait a day after you have removed the electricity the pc off) You should also try to remove all porn you got (you dirty scumbag) And you have probely already checked if you got spyware or virus but check it again.

My dog is way beyond my ranking list than you.

I really doubt anybody's turning it off for "tree-hug(g)ers". I, for one, would rather save my electricity bill a few bucks every month by simply turning off my computer when I don't need it on (if I'm not installing anything or downloading a torrent, why have it on if I'm not using it?).

Not to mention, overheating/overworking your system doesn't happen when you let it rest.

^^ Because I´m kidding.... I never turn of my car though....

@Wolfenstein:

LOL! I agree, the problem is clearly related to an excess of pornography. It must be cleansed!

 That, I don't blame you. I mean, what if you need to go to the hospital and those three seconds you'd spend turning it on would be the difference between life and death?

Not to mention there's no worry about overworking your car or overheating, either. Of course not!
