Forums - Nintendo - Metroid Prime or Metroid Prime 3?

I have played Prime 1 more today and I'm starting to like the lonliness I get from it. Like I'm a bounty hunter on an uncivilized planet on the edge of the universe.

im in sanctuary fortress and pretty far in it on MP2. I would have to say that i have enjoyed MP2 alot more than what i thought. It's hard to decide which one is my favortie. I do think the diffuculty on MP2 is alot better in the since of it not being too easy. Does anyone know how much MP2 was dumbed down in the trilogy. I heard it was, but not for sure. I love echoes alot, and i don't mind the dark world, it adds alot of challenge to the game. I love MP1 and MP3 as well though. I do remember playing MP3 and being astonished of how well the game looked. Really great artistic design. I hope Other M is over the top.

The art direction on 2 is absolutely killer. I wish we could get a graphical upgrade so that it would match the poly count of 3. Not that it really needs an upgrade, but my eye just craves to see what it'd be like.

When I get done drawing tonight, I am so going straight to Prime 2. My quest to play all three back to back must be completed! (Albeit slowly.)

Don't ignor Metroid Prime 2! It'm my personal favourite. It's the hardest, it has the most clever puzzels, hardest and best most epic bosses, longest length and despite common oppinion I like the whole dark world thing, and some of the locals, particularily the luminoth city, looked amazing. Also, the motion controls I think will greately improve the multiplayer in it, its by no means great multiplayer, but its a cool extra to have.

I wasn't ignoring 2 I only just played Prime 1 and 3. Prime because I want to play the series in order and I played 3 because it looked really good from trailers.

I got the Metroid Prime Trilogy yesterday and I heard that Metroid Prime is rated one of the best games ever (I never played a Metroid game before). So I played that for almost 2 hours and today I decided to play number 3. Probably the best game on the Wii after Super Mario Galaxy. What does everybody else think?

Ive played all 3 many hours into them all and have to say i love all 3 and in order id have to say prob the 3rd and 1st are tied since i loved exploring all over in 1 but it was alot and in 3 i missed it but loved all the bosses and everything. 2 freaked me out tho it was scary when i played it in 7th grade haha but it was awesome!

Doesn't worth to open a new thread for this so I'm asking it here.

Does MP1 and MP2 have maps upgrades showing upgrades locations like MP3 have ?

I haven't cracked my Trilogy copy yet, but I'm pretty sure the answer is no. It wasn't present in the originals, and I don't think they bothered dickering with the games to add satellite launches to Prime 1 and 2.
