Online coop or offline?
Resistance 1 has great offline coop. Resistance 2 has awesome online coop but it isn't a story mode coop, just a bunch of different missions to play.
Call of Duty: World at War has a fun online coop, you gotta try out Nazi Zombies too.
Ratchet And Clank: Deadlocked for the PS2 is a great offline co-op game. You should play that. Also the new Ratchet game that is coming out in a few months is rumored to have co-op as well.
If you want a beat em up with offline co-op go with Marvel Ultimate Alliance. That game is fun and probably cheap and the sequel too. It is coming out soon(or just came out, not sure).
