Forums - Sony - MAG beta vids...AWESOME

Demo has no sense of scale in the way that it was advertised, at no time in that video did I see more than 10 people of screen, hell I see more action on the smaller map of Killzone 2 than this.

The needle yourself and wait type healing also feels tedious, Its Massive Action Game *ACTION*, and waiting ten or more second each time you take a few hit seems like a pain in the ass.

I'm still optimistic but I hope to hell there more to this than what I just saw.

MAG is one of those games that's going to take a significant investment of time if you want to get the most out of it due to the stat building, leveling and leadership point system.

Mechanically, I didn't have any problems with the closed beta, although I felt more or less detached from my squad (like most FPS games) since nobody was really using headsets which meant there was no communication on a squad level or command and control on a platoon level or higher, which is essentially the point of having a massive online shooter.

But, that's just the closed demo and I'm sure that will change quickly once players start digging into it.

I think once the game gets rolling, there will definitely be a strong community of players who focus almost entirely on MAG. The massive online nature of the game brings elements to the FPS field not previously seen for those willing to play deep enough.

On PS3 I assume you mean...It's not like that on XBox 360....I mean some people don't use their mics...but it's very few people...

Which is where I think It's problem's will be...I mean it sounds cool to sorat be 1 of 3 factions and each with it's own classes and what not...But like some one pointed out in this thread before...It's going to be a Campathon....Maybe Sony gets it right this time and delivers an FPS mass amounts of people play...but in My opinion...the scale is too big of a jump from 30 vs 30

I played a lot of Left 4 Dead when it first came out, and I was more likely to get speared by a unicorn then to find a person using their mic in a public room.  Same goes for Gears.  The problem is worse on Xbox Live because many people are in party chats.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.
