actually...thats its true
No need to go what each think of "hardcore" because I have many opinions on there but you must know what if som1 says "hardcore game" thinks it is.
Take my love, take my land..
OK, let's see:
Guitar Hero 5
The Beatles: Rock Band
Wii Fit Plus
Spore Hero
Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
FIFA Soccer 10
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
& NSMB Wii of course

Final Fantasy CC: The Crystal Bearers.
This game is the only one that fulfills all your terms. Monster Hunter comes close, but it isn't popular outside Japan while FF definitely is.

Those games don't count as hardcore!
I'll try to use as many arbitrary and random standards as I can to prove it!
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

LoL :p

I think tatsunoko vs capcom will do better than people expected.
Red Steel 2,Monster Hunter 3,FF:CB
I believe all those have a chance to be successful.
I love fighting games !!! Come on challenge me !
NSMBW, Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid Other:M and the new zelda are probably going to be the best sellers for a while. In terms of 3rd party, I don't really see one that will sell over 1m/have a high metacritic rating
RS2 wont flop-will have a high MC ranking as well, and will sell over a million faster than RS1.
And if you want something really soon that wont flop. MW.It will hurt some ppl but it wont flop(WAW was million seller) and will get high MC(WAW did).
