Forums - Sony - Eurogamer reviews the Ps3 Slim

I am happy to see opinions on the PS3 have improved a lot as expected with the introduction of a cheaper slimline model and general PS3 software improvements.

Eurogamer was pretty biased in the past. But the timing seems just about right for things to sway as Sony's playstation division is now turning towards profitability.

It's official. Teh C3LL has teleported us to an alternate dimension.

4D WAS A REALITY!

It will be interesting to see what Sony's 3DTVs and PS3 software (and impressive new controller) will amount to. When I watched the latest Ice Age in 3D IMO it did contribute significantly to the overall experience.

PS3 Slim will make money, everyone will buy a PS3 slim. It will sell 1bil worldwide by the end of this generation.

No he is just a newbie...

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

DITTO

I'm in the 'wait and see' camp on sales, but I get the impression the Slim is going to get a much warmer reception from the media that the initial launch. Should be interesting to see what influence, if any, this has on general perception of the PS3.

In many ways the Slim now seems to represent (BC remaining the glaring omission) what the PS3 originally promised - powerful console, inclusive BR/DVD, media support with Wifi connectivity and free online gaming service coupled with decent features and store - and all at a very competitive price considering the total package.

It's funny to remember the PS3 launching with a really skeletal PSN, no rumble and a big price tag - seems like a long time ago... wait, it was a long time ago! Oh well, better late than never.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

They say something positive because Sony did something positive... don't you think ?

That about sums it up.

Currently playing:  PC:  Wolfenstein  PS2:  Final Fantasy X  PS3: All-Pro Football 2K8 Wii:  Force Unleashed  PSP:  God of War: CoO Xbox 360:  Gears of War 2

Most anticipated game:  Dragon Age Origins (PC)

Yeah now there is the real competition..always good when something strikes back after miss.

Ps3 slim will probably sell about 12 billion units LTD, beat chuck norris in a fight, and send humans to mars where they discover sources of cellium, curing the worlds energy problems. (which were already pretty small due to the slims increased efficiency)

I blame Wii Fit...+!!!
