It's not hard to believe it's in pre-production.

WKS will be out Early 2008 in Japan. So, they will be working on another new title.

Apart from DQIX and IE the only other DS game they are confirmed to be working on is the new Layton game.

I thought they announced two other Layton games?


 I think they said Layton was a trilogy. Don't know if they have started the 3rd game though.

At least it is mentioned on their page on wikipedia, but it is still unnamed.

Wow, I really hope this is true...Dark Cloud is one of the greatest franchises of all time. I'd love to see this next gen...



Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)

If you think for one second...A Dark Cloud character enters White Knight "Chronicles" right? Right...Chronicles...as they've changed the title according to Gamespot. I kind of hoped it would be a WII title as these kind of games perfectly matches, but since its in hands of Sony not a fair chance.

Soriku why is it that you find things concerning the PS3 hard to imagine but things which concerns the WII and are almost impossible you find them easy to believe?

I said it was impossible ATM (de v said it)! Not other times. And doesn't Sony only publish it or am I wrong?

You are right, Sony owns Dark Cloud and is publishing WKC.

You want Dk or Wk buy a PS3, wii will never have those games.

These are some extremely good news to me. I LOVED Dark Cloud 2 on the PS2 and I always wondered when they'd make the sequel but there weren't any news so I kind of forgot about it, but now I remember Dark Cloud 2 and it honestly is one of my favorite RPGs. The only problem is that I don't have (nor plan to own, I'll buy a 360 this Christmas or next year, I don't know about ever buying a PS3 though) a PS3, so if they make it PS3 exclusive (as I'm afraid will be the case) I will be secretly wanting this game.

However, the release date is SO far away, it's not worth it to get hyped right now. If life smiles at me, then maybe I'll get a PS3 to play this one game (and buying all the other great PS3 exclusives along the road). But that day is very far off...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken Level 5 created the Dark Cloud series in name of Sony, like Level 5 does with Dragon Quest IX for Square Enix. The franchises are therefore not owned by Level 5.
