nop, its $50, which is overpriced as hell. Sad this game will bomb, will pick up once its cheap.

Wow? A game that I can almost guarantee you that is hrs long AT LEAST, and of high quality isn't worth $50, but if you look at the average game this generation you are lucky to find more than 10hrs? Oh yeah I forgot it is 2d so it should automatically be a $15 dollar 5hr long wiiware game.

1. Odin Sphere was priced at $39.99 when it retailed.

2. Ignition didn't bother to Dub Muramasa.

3. Game is shorter that Odin Sphere.

I love 2D games, but $50 is overpriced.

I would say 1 and 3 are valid, but 2 is something I would rather not want them do. Most people, like myself, like to play the games in Japanese because the English is pretty unbearable. Even if the Japanese is unbearable as well most people wouldn't even realize it since they aren't accomodated to the language with real life conversation. If they were to add a dub, it would be months more until the release. I think it was a good move to not waste money and time, when most of your fanbase would accept it the way it is, with a few strangers.

It could miss 50k by a hair, so I'm just gonna say it'll be way over 30k. If you really think it'll sell less than 30k I'll take that bet.

yeah, it sold 26k in japan first week, which was clearly their market, i'll take it.

Isn't the a low budget game that was made for a Japanese audience? As long as it sells 20,000 copies or so (enough to justify releasing it in NA), it shouldn't be considered a bomb.

The difference is that now the game has a much bigger fanbase from the start. Odin Sphere got it's sales through legs, over time accumulating a fanbase. I expect this game to be much more front loaded. I don't agree with Soriku's 50k, but I don't agree with your 30k>. I think it would be in between the two, but closer to your expectations.

No it won't. The game has over 30k preorders which should probably put it in 50k first week. That's great. A lot more than Odin Sphere on PS2.

wanna bet? it won't sell over 50k first week, thats a given. it will be lucky to break 30k. It won't outsell Odin Sphere LTD.

Pessimism is a nasty habit.  Especially when he just said it has 30k pre-orders.  ALso, this game has seen a lot of online and 'word of mouth' advertising that few games ever get outside of major releases.

Anyway, its about time the game comes out.  Been waiting over 2 years for it!

Six upcoming games you should look into:
