2 through 25 can be in whatever order. As long as the NES is number 1, I have no beef. The PS2 shouldn't end up being number 1, but either 2 or three (behind the DS).

So all the fan boys are going mad over a Top 25 list of the best consoles. This is a great job by IGN. BTW: I agree with most of the list and the order. lol

And wtf is that thing rated higher then PS3? never even heard of it before! oh well, IGN's "Opinions" are spot on both with this kind of list... they've displayed how bad there taste in gaming is.

360 is a great console, don't get me wrong, but at the point we are at now, the 360 library can't even hold the PS1's jockstrap.

Dreamcast is rightfully in the top 10.

In its short 2 year lifespan Dreamcast library>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any consoles first 2 years on the market library.

I find that list to be quite insulting.

Wow 360 over PS1? Just, wow.

My own top 5 would go like this.

5. N64
4. PS2
3. SNES
2. PS1 - I dont get everyone loving PS2 over the PS1. The PS2 was great but the PS1 started it all. The PS2 had a very easy road riding on the coat tails of the PS1.
1. NES - This system dominated the market share like no other system before or after it, including the PS1 and PS2. Also Nintendo had a very hard time even getting stores in the USA to even stock the NES on shelves.

Superb list, 360 beating ps3 and wii, totally deserved too although all three should be higher on the chart,
