Forums - Sony - PSP GO (both models) big hit on Amazon.co.jp

Am I missing something, how is this odd?

Japan loves handhelds, and has shown it loves PSP as well as DS (just not quite as much) and that it loves new models and cool features around portable, interactive play.

The Go I always felt was a sure thing in Japan.

In US/UK, etc. the PSP has struggled and lost a lot of momentum and is launching under the label of 'expensive for early adopters' as a different experience, with the current PSP still available, I would therefore expect initial sales to be relatively modest.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Around the Network

The catch with the PSP Go is that games for it will be cheaper online. Like a 50 dollar game for a PSP might be like 30 for a PSP Go since they don't need manufacturing costs for UMD, shipping, etc. Also they dont need to cut in profit for stores like Gamestop with the PSP Go since its all direct download.

.... CoD4's at number 18???

This related to that teaser site?

In Japan, yes. In the west, I'm not so sure, it think the prices will be roughly the same.
