I think RE5 is marginally better graphically (but it's close). Dead Space I much preferred as a game, though. I also felt the Dead Space engine was overall the more flexible, but in terms of pure looks, I think RE5 just takes it by a zombies nose.

Just played RE5 last night, and I have to say the graphics were very good!

Mind you you could easily spot flaws in the game where other game's graphics surpassed it for example vegetation was very weak :D

For me, RE5 graphics weren't mindblowing, it's the same for Dead Space but some settings were just wonderful.

Resident Evil 5. Sure the settings werent horrific but it i loved how it looked very natural and real. The only thing that didnt seem realistic, aside from the villains, were Chris' steriod biceps lol

RE5 easily, though they both look great.

I think Dead Space was much more similar to RE4, than RE5 was, and thus, Dead Space was imo, a better SP game, despite being a total RE4 ripoff, with a crappy main character.

Resident Evil 5, with ease.
