no its not.....all of those are first party SONY owns them..???? im lost at wat your asking?..do you mean you want SONY themselves to develop it??

Untold legend - SoE first party
Legend of Dragoon - SCEI first party
Arc The LAd - Arc entertainment cant find any other info on them so most likely first party.
Wild Arms - media.vision - developed for xbox ds and wii not first party.
Alundra - matrix desgin - developed for ds and wii
Dark Cloud - level 5 - developes for the wii and ds.
Jeanne d'Arc - level 5 - see above
rogue galaxy - level 5 - see above

Legend of Lagaia - Contrail - first party no game on ps3 Rogue Galaxy
White Knight Chronicles - level 5 see above.

so out of all of those 2 are in this gen. 1 isent released yet, and nearly half are made by the same 3rd party studio level 5.

Contrail hasn'tmade anythign since 2000.  I think they're defunct.

I've often wondered why SCEI has never really had any specific teams like SCEA or SCEE.  Aside from Polyphony Digital and Team ICO, their teams are just lumped together under Sony Japan.  They have the unofficial Team Siren, the Ape Escape team, Contrail, and others just kinda mixed together moving from game to game.  They seem more like Ubisoft or something when it comes to this.

I give up...i explained it in the easiest way I possibly could...Music maybe you can give it a shot???...btw everybody Metroid: Other M and Metroid: Prime are not 1st party

Well, it does.  The developer ultimately determines the quality of the game, and Sony's second parties never quite stood up to their first parties in terms of quality.  Whether that's due to budget, tech sharing, or the actually brains behind each title, most of Sony's second party titles are merely good, while their first party stuff generally sits near the forefront of their respective genres.

Nintendo owns Retro Studios, so the Prime series is first party.  :P

Atleast you understand the difference lol.

Music were not talkin bout Quality...were talkin about fact that he believes SONY IP are not 1st party if they arnt develop by SONY themselves..which is false thats why i used Metroid: Prime and Other M as examples

Well, ultimately it's the developers that make games great.  Owning the developers means you'll always have the means to make more great titles.

If you own an IP but not the developer, then the day may come where the developer breaks relations with you, and you're kinda stuck with no team to make a sequel, or at least not the same team that made the first game great (look at Ninja Theory and Heavenly Sword - Sony owning the IP doesn't make it anymore likely that we'll get a sequel =/).

And look at Naughty Dog.  Would it have been better if Sony owned the Crash IP?  Or owned Naughty Dog?  If they just owned Crash, we wouldn't be seeing a robust, internal Naughty Dog team pumping out games like Uncharted.
