What the hell is Sony doing?

If this gen showed anything, it's that Sony needs a more able software team...

Long update? Took less than 2 minutes.

There's an option to get rid of what's new but not the damn Playstation Store icons.... why do I need 3???

Why do I need a recent played section on what's new?

Why is the Font and Icons jumbo sized??? GIVE ME THE OLD SIZE AS A DAMN OPTION!

The gray bricks around my friends add NOTHING.... just more space being taken up on the screen like the damn font.... If it had perhaps like quick trophy references, I would have understood...

It's like they focused way too much on visibility.....

Some pro's though:

I like the blur on the background when I'm going through the menu. Now the color white doesn't mess up my vision.

The actual download only took like a minute or two and the installation too a few minutes. In all it was a rather quick update.

I don't mind the visual changes though I'm not sure about the gray blocks on the friends list. They looked separated before, but now they seem clumped together.

The status bar at the top right of the screen looks nice and should make it easier to see messages, time, ect. I think they should have font size options for the XMB. I don't mind the larger font size, but I didn't have any problems seeing it on my TV. Also, rotating the right analog stick felt pointless during videos since it's much easier to either use square to skip forward by a certain time increment and it's even easier to just use the d-pad to fast forward or rewind.

I'm not liking how you have to pay $3 for the LBP theme. I'll be sad if users can't make their own animated custom themes because I'm not paying money for my themes.

Appreciate the iPlayer widget and love that trophies load faster now!

FW3.0 officially sucks.

Can't play music and do anything like webbrowser at the same time anymore... or even leave the song to launch something else.... or even read your fuckin' messages...

It has to do with your audio options, you have to change something with the music playback setting. You'll be able to listen to your music while browsing the XMB like you used to once you do that.
