@pastro243 The disney characters actually add to the story and atmosphere though. The Final Fantasy ones are at a level slightly above cameo. Both are overshadowed by the new characters though in terms of importance.

My point was it doesnt have a point to discuss which characters are better or useless, the game comes with both as much as we discuss.

On the sucky disney game comment, I meant that if it want developed by square people, the game would just be another bad game developed by disney, not that the disney characters are useless.

That's not what he's saying. He's saying that the Disney characters make the game what it is. And it's true since you're seeing Disney characters nearly the whole time while FF characters not that much (I wish they'd have more influence though, as much as some people don't like them since I think they're awesome). All the original characters are Disney characters too (Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Org XIII, etc.)

its 50/50 actually.

the whole system its practically a action based FF.

both get second rate when the own kh story kick in.

you don't even have donald and goofy all the time, sometimes sora gets the centerpiece and he is design by nomura.

then square makes the game. all the input its practically nomura itself and the kh team.

they never have talks with disney against nomura.

and the whole story its 50/50, we have seen cloud fighting sephiroth and squall helping you kill the heartless.

small changes like that are a given, it wasn't a keyblade but a chainsaw, and sora was a mouse. before.

I agree with the others. We don't need another angsty Nomura-styled game, we need something different, which is what Kingdom Hearts provided from the beginning.

The only series that Nomura has had full control were KH and TWEWY. How would we have another angsty Nomura game?

Disney characters and the Final Fantasy characters become completely unnecessary with this whole organization crap. Putting the Disney worlds in there just make it easier so they have to think of something new.

It's my opinion that Disney makes KH worse and the game would be better without them.

Funny, I was under the impression that Organization XIII was easily the worst part of the game and it would be better off without them.

I like the Organization, personally, but I still don't see how their being there removes the importance of the Disney characters.

I'm indifference on organization XIII.

My only point is that with the current direction of Kingdom Hearts (making Disney irrelevant in terms of story) I think the game needs to either remove them or go back to way things were whenever Disney characters were meaningful. 

Note: I'm refering the Kingdom Hearts character (Sora, Riku, Kairi, etc.) as different from the Donald, Goofy, etc. Disney characters.

@outlawauron I don't think it is possible to get rid of the Disney characters. Even if they are as meaningless as you say they are, they have to be there to add to the atmospheric value. They would have to take all the Disney worlds out too if they take the characters out, and then they are left with scratch. I think the series should focus on new characters though, which I think is what you are trying to get at.

Which is part of the reason I think they'll keep Disney despite not involving them in the story.

It's much easier to use something that already exists rather than something entirely new.
