Haha, so true. They will make new Marvel characters from their Disney shows :P
Miley Cyrus by day and Hannah Montana the courageous crime fighter by night.

Thats a day one purchase right there.
This is just such a bad idea on so many levels... who here really thinks that Marvel Comics produces primarily family-oriented entertainment? So much for my son's dream of working for Marvel. Sounds like a good time to consider creating another firm to replace Marvel in the market.

People are seriously over-stereotyping companies, like if they would be such simple-minded entities that they are unable to go in any other direction than their most famous one.
Like when EA bought Bioware, and everyone was like "OMG, now they will make "Mass Effect: Pets", and "KotoR: Stuff Packs", because we all know that EA is phisically uncapable of making anything else than Sims EPs...
As somebody already pointed out, Disney owns ABC studios, that created LOST, Criminal Minds, and Miramax that published Kill Bill, to name a few examples.

Wow, that was out of left field. Interesting move for Disney, makes sense since the Marvel stuff has been selling nicely in the comic-to-movie conversions

This is somewhat true, but Disney tends to "assimilate" companies that seem to have similar product lines. Sure, they leave ABC studios alone... they're considered as another line of business. Pixar they're integrating more and more into the fold from what I hear. I hope you're right and that they decide to be hands-off with Marvel, but I'm not counting on it.

So when the next X-Men game is on every system except the Wii...are people going to keep saying that "Disney loves the Wii/Nintendo"....because Hannah Montana and High School Musical are on the system?
(That was the logic I heard for a while behind why KH3 will be Wii exclusive)

Huh? The only thing that happened with Bioware and EA was that people thought that Mass Effect would end up on the PS3 because EA pretty much only makes multiplatform games. I've never heard anyone complain that EA only makes Sims games. Or do Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, and Army of Two just not exist anymore?
Bad example dude, bad example

lol imagine lining up to take a picture with iron man when you are at magic kingdom...hmm maybe it won't effect marvel games and comics all that will happen is that it will get better cause disney will put in more money than what marvel used to....
