Forums - Sony - 4/30 PS3 Slims got returned at my Best Buy

Am I the only one who thinks that if an electronic good is marketed at the mass market, then it should be designed to accommodate for the mass markets intelligence? People in here making excuses about others because they don't know how to use electrical goods - news flash, most people don't.

Electronics, consoles, etc, should be designed around the fact that they could be put on carpets, or given little airspace, or at least come with a hell of a lot of warnings (and put it on the sleeve around the console, not in the manual, no body reads that) - that one sleeve could reduce failure rates on all consoles by a considerable amount, I'm willing to wager.

i expect some issues on early models

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I believe Sony rushed the PS3 Slim because they were really desperate to stay alive in console sales war with the XBox 360. So Sony will outsell the 360 marginally for next year or two but at what cost?

PS3 Slim is a cheaper game system with $100 price cut but...

Preliminary reports: PS3 Slim having increased failure rates than old PS3s due to overheating.

A system with a 12v fan overheats after 4 days?
Yea, right. They must have wrapped it in towels.

Damage control is amusing on all fronts.

Lol, that it is.  This thread is quite humorous to read.

^ But you people who claim that are going by a forum post, us skeptics are going by the internal and quality manufacturing of the Slim.

So a forum post vs Logic and fact?

Amen my friend

This is a funny thread, no doubt about it. Looking for 360 fans to be all happy, PS3 fans to be defensive and sensible people to realise you can't draw any conclusions from this data set at all.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I think anybody trying to make anything out of a 30 console sample size probably needs to play more Phoenix Wright.
