Forums - Sales - People on forums are taking it for granted PS3 slim will destroy 360

Why would it "destroy the 360" in the marketplace?

I'm a PS3fanboy and even I don't think that.  However, I will point out that this is a big step forward for the PS3, b/c it allows sony to make the PS3 for a cheaper price, and to make a smaller version that will find room for itself easier, versus MS's mere price cut.  So a big step forward for Sony, perhaps an inch forward for MS.  So, since MS hasn't decreased the production cost but has made the same price cut, they will be more pressured financially so their marketing/developer relationships/ ability to win the competition for exclusives/ etc will suffer a little bit.  I guarantee that the execs controlling various aspects of the X-box are a bit concerned and a little worried about all of this but thats business.

I also think that the Price cut will spur greater sales for Blu-ray but I'm also going to have to wait and see if that will really pan out.  I think that it might help a little bit but we'll see within a month.

it has more to do with the fact that it's $299 then that it's slim. the console has been $399 since the Holidays of 2007

There sure to be alot of anti-PS3 posts/threads on these forums, and the spin that comes out of most people's mouth here is laughable(when ever a postive PS3 topic is posted in sales discussion).

Prediction:

TGS this year for PS3 will be amazing.

Grandia comes to PSN(PSone classic).

First Versus gameplay this year.

The Adventures Of Duane and Brando

because of the price and let me just make you remember that in november 2007 ps3 cut its price to 399$ 399 euro and outsold 360 worldwide for months December , January, February , March,April,May and june in july 2008 360 took the upper hand because of the price cut and now everything willn go back to normal

Because $299 is finally a reasonable price. One week of sales isn't going to make a huge shift in August NPD anyways And if you don't consider Vgchartz reliable, why are you here? What are you, some GAF troll? If you want to see swarms of 360 fanboys and trolls, go to Gamespot. Oh man.

Is it really that bad there? After seeing GT I'm scared to look at any big game fourms...

If you've ever wondered where 360 fans hang out, and why there aren't so many on sites like Vgchartz, you only have to look at Gamespot.

Nobody was commenting on the reliability aspect of this website, but I believe that the point was more about bias.  Stop being so defensive and easily offended.
