The problem I have with SE is the lack of support for the PS3 even when the user base for the console is almost triple of the 360's in Japan. You know how many games they released on the PS3? One, Batman AA and that's only because they bought eidos.

While thinking like that is all well and good... what if the PS3 got the Halo and Gears franchises, (I know Halo is Microsoft 1st party) more people would be able to play those AAA games too, wouldn't they??? Yes, but this stealing of exclusive franchises game that Microsoft is playing is making the PS3 and 360 indistinguishable from one another. Having specific titles for specific platforms is what makes video games fun. It adds a dynamic competitve edge to which system has the most exclusives. Final Fantasy is a Playstation game. No one should want it to be multiplatform. In a perfect world no console should ever share a game with another. Every game would be exclusive. Imagine how sweet that would be. Imagine the competition among Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo. Imagine the competition among the fans, among the developers! It would drive the industry forward like never before. While this is basically impossible and never going to happen, Sony is in the business of constantly CREATING new franchises and games. Microsoft seems to be in the business of................ buying Sony's games. fanboy anger is not inborn, it is created.

so if Gears goes to PS3, let's just say for the sake of the argument, you expect PS3 owners to say: hell no im not buying that, thats MS's game!

But you said it yourself in one of your own posts not too far back in this thread. Its not the fact the game is MP that upsets so many, its sthe fact the game is being gimped to suite the bare minimum. I held SE to a higher standard for a very long time and would have never expected them to do such a thing. Unfortunately they have done this with my favorite franchise. Unforgivable.....although I still will be buying it cus im a FFslave. Unfortunately I will have to play it with in the back of my mind knowing it could have been better.

Its part of it. SE has screwed the PS3 market without even testing it and the one game that was suppose to be a exclusive title for the PS3 is now MP. The Playstation platform that put SE where it is now, and they can't make one fucking title for its next gen console is pathetic. Instand they go to a platform that doesn't cater to there fanbase and sales struggle for those games. SE owes its Playstation fanbase alot more than a MP JRPG, soon to be MP MMO, spinoffs, and ports to 6 to one year old games.
