I wouldn't count Final Fantasy Legends and Final Fantasy Adventure as FF. They were only called like that in the west.
Final Fantasy Adventure is actualy the first Mana game. Called Seiken Densetsu in Japan (Secret of Mana is Seiken Densetsu 2)
Final Fantasy Legends are all actualy SaGa.

Well, it was paraphrased, I'm not exactly sure how he said it, but I think it's meaning was that if a game is still good, that means it use hasn't run out. It could have a lot of games, but if it is still quality I doubt it is overused.

You didn't even mention the four Final Fantasy games on Wii that have already been released.

Anyway, I'm gonna say Sonic. While there might be more FF or Mario games (I don't know), the majority of Sonic games are not even good.
