I am hearing a lot of radio ads all aimed at the 249 Elite.

TV also running ads.

Just wondering is it Ireland only or is this worldwide?

Also today I was looking for Fallout 3 and was in 5 game shops.

Big push on in all of them, again pushing the Elite.

HMV were doing a deal for 249 with the new Batman game for 10 Euro included.

Big splash outside the store advertising it.

Looks like game on as far as the HD consoles are concerned.

I wonder will this affect Wii sales.

I've always noticed how much MS advertises it's console and it's games in Ireland, often two ads per ad break.

And all I've seen from sony was a single poster in a lonely bus shelter with Killzone 2 written on it.

Also the Wii gets alot of advertising in Ireland. But the most came from MS when the arcade got it's price drop and when Gears of War 2 was coming out. Good marketing drives sales, and MS is good at marketing.

I dont know, with both MS and Sony going into overdrive it is bound to have some impact.

Fair point OK.
But Wii sales have been dipping recently.
Mind you I was more or less thinking about the two heavyweights hurting each other.
I mean its a bit like the 12th round at this stage were both fighters are punch drunk.
And the Wii is the little sexy girl with the placard telling you which round is next.
