It isn't an ad though. It may be a virus, but I don't think it is reproductive therfore classifying it as otherwise. I never actually downloaded the program though. Like I said before, I've encountered this many times, and never have I got infected. This targets the gullible people who actually think they have millions of different types of spyware on thier computer.

Just get firefox, and get NoScript addon.
It will stop any scripts on the site to access your computer, and it will give you the option if you want to trust the site or forbid ALL scripts.
Thats how you get viruses, scripts.
I suggest you get that for this site, as there has been multiple reports.

It isn't an add though. It is a full blown web-page. It isn't too much of a big deal imo though. This is if you know not to download it that is. It doesn't occur often either, so the annoyance is at a minimum level.

Well most of the time I came upon this page it was when I would click a link on google when doing a search. Also it always would direct me to the page no matter how many times I would click the link, which I would assume it was the site's problem. This is the first time I encountered it by browsing a specific website though.

No it is against the rules to mention adblocking software. People have been banned for it. That makes perfect sense too, seeing as Ads are what make the site money.
