The question is rather straightfoward, do you prefer a smaller or larger community on VGChartz?

Basically, would you rather have not that many members or a lot of members?

Back in 2007, there were maybe only a few hundred who were using the forum. It was a very small community, basically everyone knew each other. And when I signed up, I had one day without RolStoppable. Can you imagine? A WHOLE day when no one knew who Rol was?

Today, there are thousands who use the forums, and there are many different personalities floating around. It does seem to make the forum more interesting with more opinions and for good debate.

I enjoy the small luxuries of a small community, everyone knows you, no RolStoppable, but I prefer the large community for the far more interesting posts and all that good stuff.

Well, which would be your preference?

With a bigger community, it's a lot easier to ignore people. Back when there was a small community, trolls like Gballzack and Blue3 could make their presence known very easily. Now, they would just be the average annoyance. I prefer that.

If you want a small community, visit the IM (SHAMELESS PLUG / DERISORY COMMENT ABOUT IM PARTICIPATION).

OT: I like small communities, though when things are "tight", it can appear to be a major turnoff for anyone who wishes to approach the community. Also, such "tightness" can be an Achilles' Heel (major attraction for trolls). I've noticed that certain posters on here just can't stay away, like it's their solemn duty to disturb the peace via multiple accounts or something.

I read the forums when it was smaller, but it started its rapid growth when I joined.
From what I read, I like both equally for different reasons.

Bigger, I think the mods need more work :P
