This is very good, and I'm not contradicting that.  Thanks go to Sony.  To developers themselves, though, who created the need for the PS3 as a hub in the first place: why the f*** haven't they just been putting in a structured mode to play PSP games over wifi *without* needing to have a hub?  What's the difficulty, here?  People clamor for online play all the time, and yet it doesn't happen that often on PSP.  Do Sony-developed PSP games lack online as often as 3rd party games do?

actually developer will have to start including infstrutctured mode for online PSP games...they just didnt do it up till now cuz there lazy

Oh, I thought this AdHoc Party allowed remote connection through a game's support of Ad Hoc, where normally you'd have to be in the same room to play with a buddy, for instance.

I'm asking why devs don't support online play through our wireless routers, for instance.  Is it so hard?   Security issues?  If that was supported, the fix from Sony using AdHoc Party wouldn't be required.

ad mode allows you to play online with PSP through PS3..Infrastructure mode is wat asking witch will start happening up till( SC4, Tekken 6 and Phantasy Star Portable 2 all have it) it wasnt mandatory for developers to include infstrutcture mode in online games so they didnt and took the cheap easy option ad Hoc...iirc with release of the GO all online games must support infstrutcture

Firmware 3.0 is supposed to be coming Tuesday [it's usually a few hours b4 Tuesday, meaning monday night]. This wouldn't be the first time a FW update came with an unannounced feature.

Maybe firmware 3.0 won't suck so much. :)

The only one that has that mode will be Phantasy Star Portable 2, Tekken 6 and SCIV  even Dissidia does not have it. which is another reason why Phantasy Star Portable 2 > ALL PSP GAMES!
