Sorry guys. The list wasn't supposed to be a short list, more like some names to get people thinking. I agree that Elite was arguably the most influential British game (I never played it, but I did sit through hours of my friend playing it!), I just thought very few people would have heard of it - sad but true. I'm more shocked that some people haven't heard of Lemmings given that that game has been ported and sequel-ed a lot.

For me it's a toss up between GTAIV, Perfect Dark and Worms, but I'll say Perfect Dark takes it. I've yet to play Arkham Asylum though.
