People here? I just think there's a lot of Bias. The media clearly recognizes MGS4 as the better looking game. Infact, and in general the media is very against PS3 games. We can sit here all we want and argue, but it's just a vote. In my mind, there's no way a multi-platform engine game on a single DVD with all that compression can come even remotely close to MGS4, It appears to look very good because of some genius work by the developers of Unreal to make their engine shine, but this is a graphics WHORE thread, not one about which one is aesthetically better looking. In that case, Super Mario Galaxy or Brawl are the best looking games from that time period.

Gears 2 simply cannot compare, that is fact. Opinions are what this thread is for though, so have yours! If you think gears 2 looks better then you best vote for it. :) In the end though, no matter what this thread says, MGS4 is still the technically superior graphics engine and game by a landslide.

The results have been posted on the opening post of this thread. Everyone here said that MGS4 would win because there are too many PS3 fanboys on this site but that's wrong. Gears of War 2 won by 6 votes (34-28) which proves that although there may be more PS3 fans on this site, a lot of them are relatively unbiased and decided to go with the better looking game, which in this case is Gears 2. Round 2 will start soon so stay tooned for that!

Every one of those awards has a source, I checked them all. They're all valid. Wikipedia is fine if you check the sources, why go out of the way?
Go find me more awards for gears 2, i searched. I found none. Infact, not a single publication gave it "Game of the year" and funny, it's getting a GOTY edition.

IGN Best Graphics of E3 2008 kind of gets negated when IGN gives the overall Best of 2008 to Metal Gears Solid 4.
