What the hell is FFVII treatment?

I hope for the Wii's sake that it does not receive this, since FFVII is unknown to about 99% of the population.

The Wii is making it to the news more and more as a general interest story as Therapists use it for stroke patients of for physiotherapy, children and adults lose weight playing Wii Sports or DDR, and it gets used in retirement homes because elderly people who don't have the physical strenght to bowl or play tennis anymore can still enjoy their favourite sports. In the not too distant future all these stories will be repeated when Wii Fit is released.

Eventually this bombardment will make the Wii enter the awareness of the general population and you will see everyone from Rappers to Oprah talk about the Wii.

While all this is going on the Wii will continue to grow among core gamers as Nintendo releases its favourite franchises and thrid party developers get on board.

Nintendo is trying to get it into everyone's consciousness. Like the ipod, everyone knows what it is. People reference it as a common item, for example, like how people say "Xerox Copy" instead of "photo copy". People usually say "ipod" rather than" mp3 player". Maybe people will start saying "Wii" rather than "videogame system" even when are taking about the PS3 or 360.
