When they say they have enough, that doesn't mean they have them right at the US... they may still be under way.

If they produce and ship 13m PS3s by the end of the year in correlation with their lofty 2009 projections, there should be more than enough to go around although certain local markets (but not regional) may still end up with short supplies, assuming demand holds strong through the holidays.
Ordering online always remains viable for those in smaller markets.
But realistically speaking, it's the first week of release (technically zero week since the official launch isn't until the 1st) and naturally there's going to be early demand that should in no way shape or form indicate a sustained sales trend.
Bestbuy Canada had 200 last night when I checked.
Out of stock now.

@smashed
what they sold 200 ina day!
thats more ps3's than my town has sold in 6 months
The real issue of why PS3 is still behind 360 is because 1-the price (issue dealt with) and 2- shipments and demand there never really up to par with that.

So were the shipments large or small? Is there any info whatsoever?
Either way, it shows that people are interested in the slim. which is a good sign.
