Its not really fair to make it so simplistic. The PS3 is leagues above the arcade in value.
Funny how the arcade will never be able to play any XBL games, nor watch Netfllix movies coz guess what it doesn't have a hard disk.
Apart from this it doesn't have the other stuff that even the elite lacks: blu-ray drive, free online, wifi
Granted a lot of people still will be swayed by the $200 price tag. But really I can guarantee that they will be paying more in the long run.

Nobody denies that.
It is just that people don't necessarly want to directlty spend 300 € (Even with all the features associated to it).
It is like in the last gen... PS2 attracted more people.. even with less features...
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

What do you mean less features? I agree if it's a PS2 vs Xbox, but compared to Gamecube I don't really see how. And while PS2 did have less features than the Xbox, it still had the option to have an HDD, it still had online, etc.

IMO, the biased logic of the fanboys doesn't apply in today's market. The only thing I would concede is that the Blu-Ray player can motivate customers in spending more in one shot. |
Cheaper is better to begin with???? Come on dude maybe you should think a little bit more before saying something what is NOT wright..
Xbox you buy it but you're just getting started----> Wifi 79.99 €, xboxlive ---->60 € and no blu ray player.. now m8 count me up and tell me what is cheaper..
That's wright the PS3 SLIM is...and it doesn't go broke and it doesn't sound like you have an airplane trying to take off in your living room...wut..

man, you got a point !
What MS price-cut? there's no such thing. You still have to pay at least $300 to get a HDD-equipped console. Bigger HDD equals no price cut. Sony did that LAST YEAR AT E3, remember? they announced the PS3 80GB for the same price as the previous 40GB, same features, SAME PRICE.
There's only on price-cut this season and that's a PS3 for the lowest it's ever been, $100 less, $299.99 tag.

I love these Ferrari / Yugo comparisons. "The only difference is the price".
