1. Started with 2D Zeldas, WW low on fav list: [# of people where WW was low on the list and who started with 2D Zeldas]/[# of people who started with 2D Zeldas] = %

If I interpreted your data right, it would be 18/25 = 72%

3. Started with 3D Zeldas, WW high on fav list: [# of people who had WW high on list and started with 3D Zeldas]/[# of people who started with 3D Zelda] = %

If I interpreted your data right, it would be 3/14 = 21.4%

For me, doing the statistics this way gives more weight to the WindWaker data. The way you have it now it seems more broken up by what game the player started with.

That could work, but the bolded above is actually the purpose...I was checking to see if the order in which the games were played had an effect on the WW love

I somewhat puzzled as to why you singled out WW. You did mention that it's low on your list so I'm assuming this endevour was to give you some sort of justification of your opinion and to give you as you say; 'closure'. Nothing wrong with this but I am genuinely curious as to why all this over Wind Waker. There are many critacally aclaimed games that fall low on my list *coughFFVIIIcough*, but I'd like to to why all the fuss over this perticular one of yours.

Ok bare with me here. I suppose it stems from Zelda being one of my favorite series and up until WW I thought the series was fairly flawless. I didn't look at any reviews nor did I speak to anyone about the game, the opinion came on its own. After that I was a bit surprised to learn of the rave reviews/feedback, so I thought maybe my Zelda love was dying. But when I played the ones that came out after I realized it wasn't that. So everytime I hear/see anything about WW it makes me wonder every now and again.

So I thought I'd just do a little poll to see if the reason I thought was for this had some truth to it. Then I figured since I did that it will only be fair to the participants to present the results, and since I did that I figured I might as well spruce it up a bit so it won't be seen as something entirely fail.

Of course, now it would seem like I'm making a big deal out of nothing to 'accentuate my point' but uhh....yuh know...can't please everyone

Seems good to me! It was my first Zelda experience and for me it tops LttP, OoT and TP. It was my favourite up until I played Majora's Mask and the originality of that title just wowed me so much. So yeah I agree with your hypothesis.

I can't get into 2D games other than the very simplest plaformers/racers.

OoT was my fist Zelda and I rank it lower than all others

Despite "going back" to Majora's Mask I rate it higher than everything but WW.

^^ cool, but at least MM and OoT were in the same gen so it would have been easier to go back and play without having that feeling of 'going backwards'
