If you have to send it in, it shoudlnt take more than a week before its back to you. I had to send my parents' wii in (got fried in a T-storm, they didnt have a surge protector). Was back in 6 days from send out.

As long as it is the same problem others have with Brawl, I think Nintendo does it for free even if it is out of warrantee. |

If you only have problems with Brawl and Triology get a Wii lens cleaning kit.
They retail for about 10$.
so what happened what did you do did you send it in or get a lens cleaning kit or have you done nothing???

Me? I used a dvd-cleaner kit and it did not work. Then I contacted Nintendo again, for nothing. Out of warranty so I would have to pay (a lot including shipping).
If your warranty has expired you have to pay both for shipping and cleansing. In Norway where I live the cleansing alone is $110.
This problem only occurs with older Wii consoles, so its an easy way out for the money-grabbing bast***s Nintendo.
I bought SSBM for full price 1 year after release, only to find out I needed to pay way more than that just to be able to play it. So naturally I sold it. Nintendo refused to pay for the cleansing.
Sucks that I wont be able to play Metroid Prime Trilogy.

DVD cleaner or lens cleaner? DVD cleaner is used for cleaning disks. The disks are not your problem.
The lens cleaning kit is a disc-shaped thingy that you insert into your Wii. The Wii spins it, the disc cleans the lens.

Lens cleaner of course.

This. Even though it is not going to be cleaned, it has a defect and laser will be replaced. No thanks, nintendo.
