Yea that's where that article lost credibility on the failure rate...a gaming mag that could have easily been sabotaged in it's votes for Xbox's failure rate...

Funny how the failure rate supposedly jumped 21% over 2 years when the hardware has only been improving...*sigh* there's no reasoning with people like you...

Come one people!!!

1. its a non-scientific poll that could and probably was somewhat sabotoged by fanboys.

2. The PS3 had somewhere around 11%---do you guys believe that they have that big of a fail-rate?  I don't; I think both numbers are expanded beyond what they really are

3. And the 54% isn't even a number for just recent 360's.  Its for all 360's ever made...That means that the launch 360's (which basically have all failed by now at least once) were included into that poll.

4. Newer 360's ARE NOT 54% failrate...its not even debatable that its that high.  They are most likely 10% at the fucking most!

5. Stop with this ridiculous shit.  Its about as stupid as saying the PS3 has no games, or the Wii only has kiddy games, or people only buy PS3 for blu-ray (unfotunately I still see that stupid argument once in a while too)



It's good to see companies learn from their mistakes, it makes them a lot better!



50% failure rate = MS treats their customers like shit.

Should MS have just given up after they had their problems? I don't know what else they could have done beyond extending the warranty and fixing the bad one's for free, and constantly doing updates (2 new chipsets I believe). What more could they have done?



i geuss ill just get a 360 when the console is built right with no RROD

In Italics- well they fix it for free for up to 3 years and they even pay for the shipping

the underlined- xbox live and its library of games always keeps us coming back for more :D



 

 

 

 

i think its good that ms r still offering their 3 year warranty on new models as well just to have peace of mind, they are taking care of their customers well



I've said it before and now I will say it again, the earlier models will have a failure rate close to 100%. They were all made of the same worthless parts and they can all get PROD. So naturally if you have so many old models running around then the failure rate will be high because it is an average. Microsoft deserves all the crap they got from people who own a broken console but as far as the fanboy war goes they need to stop using this excuse because newer models wont have PROD.
