What's the difference between the numbers in brackets and the numbers that aren't?

At first I thought it was exclusives but then the Wii had more in brackets while the 360 had less in brackets...

EDIT: Nevermind. Just noticed it was about the number of games from the previous year.

Can't see support for the Wii dropping in Japan. Not with DQ10 coming to Wii and after Monster hynter too. If anything, there should be more support. I expect a few "surprise" announcements.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

This is really bad news for the Wii, since last year they had 27 games for it, and now they are down 19, to 8 games only.

I knew it wasn't just me who saw the number of Wii announcements going down drastically this year. We barely saw any new announcements this year and this TGS will reflect it.

And to those saying that Nintendo won't be present, remember this list doesn't include Sony's or MS's 1st party titles either, so something's very wrong with the Wii in Japan if 3rd parties decided to drop the support.

The question being why, though. I mean, if you look at this, the 360 is the king of the castle and Wii and PSP (PSP, people!) are the dogs. Something's amiss when the two more popular platforms are losing out to the two less popular.
