WotLK came out Nov last yr.. not 2 years ago.
HAHAHA I've been sober from WoW for 15 months. And after a 10 day trial cause I was bored, I signed up again for another month today!. Mind you I didn't get WotLK like you did.
I'm having fun, but the addiction hasn't kicked in yet. But I haven't been truely addicted to WoW since pre BC.
Hope you don't get too addicted. Blizzard got me back with the Cataclysm expansion preview too....
lolwow
My video card came with a two week trial subscription to it which I intend to burn. :D
You'll probably be bored within a few days. That's what happened when I went back.

I played for almost 3 years straight. Quit for good about 5 months ago (best decision I ever made). Having a life is so much better, and free by the way.
Oh, and if you are really interested in an MMO, I would possibly consider Aion, or KOTOR, or FFXIV. Aion ships in the 2-3rd week of September and looks pretty good, perhaps something new to sink your teeth into.
Honestly though, I would just stay away from MMO's completely if you can.

Champions Online is also coming up which looks interesting. The only things that bother me about that one is that the console version doesn't look like it's going to make it any time soon (;_;) and it's a pay to play and microtransaction game.
Aion looks good, but it also looks like it would make my computer cry and I've heard bad things from people in the closed beta. The Old Republic looks cool, but I'm still skeptical about a Star Wars MMO, and I'm really looking forward to FFXIV.
And just because I can, why I don't like WoW:
This will be my last month to get as much gold as I can until the next expansion.
This should help. World of Warcraft. I know it isn't a person...but I hate it anyway. No...I never played it, and I never will. How do I know I hate it...here's how...I read that to join some Guilds, you have to send them a resume, then have an interview or some shit, then if you qualify, you are part of the Guild. What the Holy Fuck? I have never heard anything as ridiculous as that right there.
Also....more like World of Latecraft: The Lich King misses his Dentist Appointment.

You find that kind of attitude in any MMO, not just WoW, and that isn't representitive of the entire community. The good thing about most MMO's is you can let the jerks go off and be jerks while you do your own thing.
Also, it's not unusual for any guild or whatever to have some sort of requirements, resume, or questionaire. For instance, in FFXI, this is the application for a Dynamis linkshell (guild) I'll eventually be a part of when I get my act together:
1. Please read all the Conduct and Membership Rules before filing out an application.
2. It will take no less than 10 Days from the time you finished filing out an application before we contact you.
3. If you fail to answer all the questions properly your application and membership will be rejected.
4. We will contact you either on a monday or thursday night during the events time only, if we cannot get a hold of you during that time your application will be rejected.
5. We do not have to provide you with a reason for rejecting your application but we will inform you of it.
6. If you claim to have read the rules and haven't your membership will be terminated.
**** Application to Join Dynamic LS ****

5. Have you ever participated in any Dynamis Events prior to wanting to join in our LS? If so please tell us which cities and the result.
6. You will be required to bring a Re-Raise item to every event you participate in, you must be able to afford it, Do you accept this?

14. Have you read the rules in the Conduct and Membership thread and agreed to them?
That sounds super strict and snobby but it really isn't, you just either 1) need those things or 2) is required to actually be successful.
