It is strange that Microsoft presented some MW2 live footage at the beginning of E3... and the number of pre-ordered copies are massively superior to the PS3 ones at this moment.

I'm not convinced anymore about the impact of exclusivities on the choice of the plateform (except maybe for hardcore fans).

I don't have figures to support this feeling but... IMO, Modern Warfare 2 could be a better system seller than ODST for the 360...(or even for the PS3 , now that the price is adapted).

I remember getting my 360 with GRAW2 bundle.... GRAW2 is multiplat...

Yeah, i know what you mean. I think it comes down to marketing, and market tastes. Xbox fans tend to like shooters, so it's natural for MW2 to be stronger there. It's something that would benefit from some additional statistical studies.

Honestly if I wasn't a hardcore gamer, I would not have known about ODST or even Halo Wars. ODST is just for the major fans of the game, or for any kid who wants to be cool and get ODST instead of 3.

Ten million people bought Halo 3. There are ten million people (Give or take 2 million who bought multiple copies.) in this world telling other people about the next Halo game. It will sell at least as well GoW 2. So will it sell more systems? Might, might not, but it will be a big game.

Right now, Microsoft has no guaranteed system sellers out there. All of the system sellers this generation for xbox360 were sequels to original xbox or great new IPs (Halo 3, Forza 2, Gears of War, Fable 2). Every other great game that has sold 3+ million units to be considered a system seller has not been exclusive to microsoft.
