I believe that multiplateforming is a key effect in the current generation.

But we don't talk much about it because fanboys are fighting each other every day.

It is strange that Microsoft presented some MW2 live footage at the beginning of E3... and the number of pre-ordered copies are massively superior to the PS3 ones at this moment.

 

I'm not convinced anymore about the impact of exclusivities on the choice of the plateform (except maybe for hardcore fans).

I don't have figures to support this feeling but... IMO, Modern Warfare 2 could be a better system seller than ODST for the 360...(or even for the PS3 , now that the price is adapted).

Yeah, i know what you mean. I think it comes down to marketing, and market tastes. Xbox fans tend to like shooters, so it's natural for MW2 to be stronger there. It's something that would benefit from some additional statistical studies.
