With the launch of Halo 3: ODST just under a month away I thought I would get to this topic.

Do you think Halo 3:ODST will be a big system seller for the 360? My opinion is that there will be only a small rise (around 10%) as I think most people interested in the Halo Franchise would have now bought one due to the release of Halo 3 & Halo Wars.

From a good friend of mine - very, very few review kits and codes are being put out before release. That's never a good sign. I think it will sell, but things look bleak for the shock trooper shooter.

I can't come up with a reason why it should. It's a spinoff. We've already had a major Halo release on this console. I'd assume we'll see a more noticeable difference next year with Reach.

I don't think it will make much of a dent in console sales.

I would think 99.9% of Halo fans already have a 360.

I expect most people who buy a system for Halo already have done. There might be a small percentage increase for a week but nothing much.

I don't think so, if anyone wanted a Halo game in order to buy the 360 then they would have gotten 3.

That's not what he said at all. He claimed that the vast majority of people who are already Halo fans have a 360 anyways. That doesn't mean that someone couldn't buy a 360 and then become a Halo fan. I know I was one of those people.

I don't know about systems... but it will sell more copies of halo 3
