Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo all bundle many many things together.
It's not just Sony that does a lot of bundling.

Nintendo has only bundled Wii Sports... nothing else in this gen. Oh and MH3, but only in Japan. Did I miss anything?
Sony and Microsoft, on the other hand, regularly bundle the newest games, even 3rd party ones like GTA 4 and RE 5. Sometimes they even bundle two games together with the consoles.

You missed Wii Play. Wii Fit. Mario Kart Wii. Link's Crossbow Training. There is also Wii Sports Resort. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10.

Well we're talking about bundling consoles with games in this thread, not bundles in general... In that category, the PS3 and 360 have clearly had many more different bundles than the Wii.

I'm talking about bundles in general. All 3 companies have bundleitis this gen.
That'd be a sweet deal if it happened. The cheapest Newegg has 2.5" 250GB HDDs for is $60. GT5 will be $60. The bundle is something of a deal, though a 320 GB HDD can also be had for $60 on Newegg. Still, if they did this profit margins would be better than the $300 slim and they wouldn't be giving consumers that want it a bad deal.
You do not have the right to never be offended.
I'd rather get the regular slim + GT5 separate for ~$370 then the bundle for $400 even if it is 250 gigs instead of 120. I haven't even filled all 60 gigs on my current PS3
^Yeah it's definitely not for everyone, it just depends on what you plan to use it for.
I plan on storing a good collection of my movies on my PS3 along with my music collection.
Plus a bunch of PSN games and stuff. Already my 40GB is full with game installs, a psn game and some demos/trailers.
| Mummelmann said: 250GB HDD on a console? Why? I certainly don't need that, I store all my movies, TV shows and music on my PC. Its a cool prospect and its fun that they're kicking up some dust but I don't think anyone besides the most hardcore PS3 and/or Sony fans will bite and swallow that one. |
I would hardly consider myself hardcore, but I'm close to running out of space on my 160GB PS3 just from game installs, PSN games, and a couple hi-def movies.
